Do not administer any calcium-containing medications, antacids, laxatives, or multivitamins within 2 hours of the last doxycycline dose. Notify your veterinarian if your animal suffers from kidney or liver disease. Doxycycline may increase skins sensitivity to sunlight. Store at room temperature. Store protected from light and moisture.
Allergic reactions and serious side effects are rare, but in the case of an allergic reaction or a serious side effect you should stop doxycycline treatment and seek veterinary attention. Some common signs of allergic reactions and serious side effects are hives, breathing difficulty, facial swelling, loss of appetite, or dark colored urine.

Doxycycline should not be used in animals allergic to it or other tetracycline antibiotics. Use with caution in animals with impaired liver or kidney function. Your doctor may need to change the doses of your medications or monitor you carefully for side effects.
be aware that antacids containing magnesium, aluminum, or calcium, calcium supplements, iron products, and laxatives containing magnesium interfere with doxycycline, making it less effective. Take doxycycline 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking antacids, calcium supplements, and laxatives containing magnesium. Take doxycycline 2 hours before or 4 hours after iron preparations and vitamin products that contain iron.
